The Chelyabinsk region was put on the third place in the ranking of the most conflict Russian regions. The study was conducted by RIA "FederalPress" together with the Institute for Strategic Communication and Social Projects. Experts assessed the number and the scale of conflict situations in the regions. In just a month, they recorded 463 major conflicts.
The Volgograd region is on the first place. It is noted that one of the key conflicts in the region was triggered by the CEC (the Central Election Commission) refusal to register the list of candidates from the "Russian Party of Pensioners for Justice" in single-mandate constituencies. This decision prevented the famous politician Oleg Savchenko from being elected to the State Duma. In addition, Volgograd witnessed a rally against a new transport scheme.
St. Petersburg is on the second rank following the Volgograd region. The cultural capital of Russia sees enough conflicts. Recently, a representative of the Russian Orthodox Church has opposed the installation of a 80-meter statue of Christ.
The Chelyabinsk region took "bronze" due to the protests of "Greenflight" defrauded investors. Political conflicts also contributed to this. For example, it is the case of the "Russian Party of Pensioners". Similar to the situation in the Volgograd region, the CEC refused to register single-mandate candidates. As the result, the electoral and resourceful ex-governor of the region Mikhail Yurevich quitted the race for the State Duma deputy mandate. The conflict of Yurevich with local elites lasted for a long time and caused some tension in the region.
It is worth noting that according to experts the largest number of conflicts accounts for the Ural Federal District. One third of all tension occurs at the level of "authorities - society". The conflicts are mainly related to labor relations.
