The society DNV GL controls the production of pipes made of carbon and carbon-manganese steels with a diameter up to 219 mm, wall thickness up to 40 mm, created using hot rolled and cold formed methods. The audit was conducted by international experts. The procedure involved several stages.
As a result, the production of the Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant was recognized as complying with international quality standards. The certificate will be valid until 2020.
What are the benefits for the plant? The international certification is a way to expand the number of foreign customers. Now the plant will expand the geography of shipbuilding pipes’ supplies to Europe, Turkey, North Africa and the Middle East (the MENA region).
